I am pretty sure it is the AMD drivers and I know it is strange that there are not many reports, on the other hand maybe there are not a lot of people playing with 5700 XT probably. I had an issue with AMD drivers after 2020.5.2 If I remember correctly with pes games and white screen, and the only thing fixed them was the releases after 2020.8.3. Previous pes games in the same system worked perfectly with freesync on, no stuttering, nothing, buttery smooth.
